YES, absolutely, it matters. You should NEVER pray out loud. You don't know what kind of spirits are around you. You don't want them to know what you are praying about, especially , if one of your prayers get answered by God or Jesus.
The bible says to go into your closet and pray in secret and then, God will hear you. This doesn't , literally mean you have to go in closet, BUT it is telling you to pray in secret.
God knows your thoughts, 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year. So, never hesitate to pray , SILENTLY, in your mind.

Whether you pray out loud or silently is your choice. What's important is THAT you pray. Yeshua/Jesus also said that you should pray in private and not pray to make a show of it to other people. Prayers should not be full of repetitious words. You should simply speak to God what is in your heart.

No, it matters not at all if you are praying to God. You see, the Bible says that only God know the thoughts and intents of the heart. Satan cannot read your mind, he can only plant things in your mind.
I have learned that when I pray out loud, Satan is listening to me and tends to tempt me in whatever I prayed for. But when I pray silently, he can't hear me and has no idea what I've prayed for.
The Bible also says to pray in secret and the Father will reward you openly.

You really need not pray at all, for God knows that which you ask for before you have asked. But, praying in silence and in private is the way I tell people they should pray.

Dear Friend,
It is totally up to you, Jesus tended to go away to the 'lonely places' to pray. Personally I find that being quiet and still is the best way for me to pray, but it is different for everybody.
God Bless

This is from the King James Bible, Matthew, chapter 6, verses 5, 6 and 7. Jesus’ followers had asked him how to pray. He said:
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

No, it doesn't. I find that I am more focused when I pray out loud though. God doesn't care, he hears you anyway.

Do as you please. Praying serves the same purpose as discussing the problem with a friend. Same reason some religions want you to confess. . .it is just a way to bring your problems to the surface.
AMEN

You can pray silently, aloud, sitting down, standing up, upside down, in your bath, in your car, eyes closed, eyes open, running, walking, stretching, playing, in your room, in the kitchen... it doesn't matter!
