I'm a Christian and I'm not afraid of death, but do I want to die, no not yet. I still have small children that I want to raise. As for when people die, just because we're Christians doesn't make us any less human. My grandfather is a Christian and when he passed away I know that hes with God, but I mourned for along time. I know that one day I'll see him again, but my selfish human nature wants him here with me.

Number 1. Animals have no souls. They merely cease to exist when they die. They don't go anywhere.
Number 2. God made us in His image and gave us souls. This part of us will never die. You will live on in one place or the other depending on what you decide to do with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Number 3. Seeing as how God is the giver and taker of all life, we have no right to mess with it. Although we suffer sometimes for years, remember this, How many times did Jesus ask someone to put Him out of His misery while He was on the cross? He didn't. He suffered and He died. We cannot take our own lives or that of others, no matter how much suffering is involved. God will let no one suffer any more than he is able to handle.
Number 4. If you are a Christian and have lived the Christian life to the best of your ability, there is no need to fear death because when you leave this life, Jesus will be waiting for you on the other side. We may fear the process because we have not experienced it yet.
I hope this helps you.

Disagree. Assisted suicide: they may be going to a much worse place for one thing. Death of relatives: I mourned when my grandmother died even though I knew she was going to heaven because I wouldn't able to call her, visit her, see her again for who knows how long. Despite the fact that she's in a better place and I know I will see her again, I'm still sad about it and miss her.
As for being afraid of death, no Christian should be. I don't have a death-wish, but I am not afraid of dying either.

I am a Christian and I agree with assisted suicide. I see no reason to let the suffering continue if they want to end it. If they succeed then it is part of God's plan - just the same as if they were to live. My seventh grade teacher said that for some people their pain is their only way of salvation ( but then she also told us that if we understood the Bible that a demon was in us). I cannot explain the mourning that we do, but it is ironic, I believe. We should be celebrating their living, not mourning their dying. I suppose I agree with you on all counts but the last. I am not afraid of dying, but of death ( dead things, because when the live force leaves the shell is left behind and I do not like to see that shell at all).

Disagree. We have a set time on this earth and no one has the right to change that.We mourn because we miss that person. It has been 20 years since I lost my mother and I still won't see her for another 30 years or so .You miss people when they are gone.Plus you mourn the fact that because sin entered the world, death did also.We do celebrate the fact that they are in heaven, but you still miss them.
We are not afraid of death.Paul says to "be out of the body is to be home with the Lord".
Not too scary.

I am not afraid of death. I am looking forward to eternity with God. Christians mourn just like eveyone else, because that loss hurts us even though we expect to see him/her again. The fat that that person is no longer part of our earthly life brings sadness. Atheists don't have a market corner on grief!
As for assisted suicide - we just don't think we have the right to end life. That's God's place, we believe.
So- no I do not agree

you're certainly only right suited. I dont comprehend what is going to take place to me when I die. I do have self assurance that i would be in God's presence. Am I afraid, Im effective i'm at that 2d, every time it comes. yet when I knew i grow to be going to die this nighttime, i could be at peace. I have been given saved, draw back for various years, and have those days come back to God. I inform you, I even have bashed Christianity, I even have hated the religion till now, I even have stated some hurtful issues. yet now, when I even have come to a low factor in my life, I comprehend what I did grow to be incorrect. I grew to grow to be humbled and humiliated, using fact's what it took for somebody as obdurate as I to return back to God. I cant inform you i comprehend i will pass to Heaven, I dont have that awareness, no person does. yet go searching you. look at the seas, the mountains, the volcanos, the different planets. is this all an twist of destiny? look at the different religions. Christianity is a faith of the two love and justice, the organic faith. No hate, no bigotry. I cant paintings my thank you to heaven and neither are you able to. we are imperfect, unworthy to be in God's presence. we ought to continuously have somebody pay for our sins, using fact we are no longer able to doing so. Christianity is the only faith that fulfills that. it is likewise subsidized up by employing some history, some organic information. You dont ought to choose on between technology and Christianity, can they no longer coincide?

I am not a Christian exactly... But I say that for no other reason than I don't approve of the religious aspects of christianity... Jesus I am okay with... It is His followers I have the problem with.
Anyway... I believe that suicide is THE ONLY unforgivable sin.
not sin as in hellfire and brimstone but rather a process of self torment and degregation that seperates the soul force from the physical house.
Because we are suppose to aspire toward personal evolution, strength of character, wisdom and an understanding of what it is to be human from the soul aspect and what it is to be spirit from a human perspective.
Pain and suffering are things to be overcome...and when we give up, we say to God... "Your perfect work was not good enough." Because we are here to learn more than anything else that because we are made in His image... We are indeed perfect.
Suicide says to me " When all else fails, lower your standards." and that is not good for the body or the spirit.
I believe we get the diseases we do in direct relation to the way we live our lives. I do not believe that God gives them as punishment for "Sin" I believe that they come as a direct result of our inability to maneuver, learn, understand and sympathize with our own lives and experiences.
Caner comes from Unforgivness
Heart trouble comes from shutting down love.
Eye trouble comes from not wanting to see...
skin trouble is a sensitivity to emotional pain...
Obesity is a feeling of neglect constantly trying to fill a void...
Mental illness is denial and intentional self deception.
I follow the beliefs of Rudolph Steiner which taught that the things we put into our bodies are just as important as the things we get from it in return...
Most foods we eat that have healing or purative effects on the body actually look like the things they are good for... Nuts are good for the brain, fruits are colored with and or look the same organ or gland they are good for.
Orange skin = Human skin Ect...
When we eat things and do things that our bodies can't make sence of we feel the effects on many levels which facilitate out personal demons (so to speak) and we become ill... As a rebellion soul against body. Illness is a reminder that we are doing something wrong. and the illness itself alludes to exactly what we need to do to fix it. Only Doctors believe in terminal... People who know better do not subscribe to incurable death. Even AIDS has a cure that has nothing to do with pharmaceuticals...
It is all a broken down example of failing to do what is required in life and suicide I believe is giving up on that process because we learn from our pain and suffering as much as we do from our correctness and our pleasure.
Cutting off that process creates a seperation between soul and structure.
But you would have to believe in a soul to understand... so how can any of this make sence to you anyway? Therefore... Why are you even asking if you will only negate it anyway. The point for you, is moot!
and for Billie... up above... I am not now nor have I ever been afraid of Death because it is a part of a process. Not an end.

Christians do not believe in assisted suicide, because of the Ten Commandments, "thou shalt not kill." I think Christians cling to their faith to lessen the fear of death. As far as mourning a loved one, I don't think this is different that in any other faith or non-faith, its human nature to grieve over loss.
