I always wonder about this .The canadian government once spent a lot of money to find out.

It largely depends on whether you're talking about those who do prostitution illegally, and those who work in legal brothels.
The ones who work in brothels where prostitution has been legalized sometimes become house madams (doing clerical or management work for the house), some make enough money to retire before 40, and others simply go on to another profession. Mandatory legal regulations (weekly VD testing, required protection, customer inspection, etc.) have lowered the risk of diseases to a minimum, so that's not something that ever really shows up in retirees.
However, those who are illegal prostitues often go the way of other people who live a life of crime: they run the risk of violence from strangers or their pimps (especially since they can't rely on police protection or monitored areas), drug overdose, and disease (from factors that go beyond just sexual contact). Those who live but end up too old to sell themselves often become homeless or are talked into doing some other illegal activity by their bosses.

Do they even make it to old age? I figure most of them either die from STD's or drug abuse. Any government that spends even a tiny amount of money to find out the answer to this seriously needs to re-think their spending. Why not find out what the homeless do when they get old and do something to help them out?

Unfortunately a lot of prostitutes don't make it to "old age". If they somehow manage to, and are still in the life, a lot of them run brothels or excort services. Those that have gotten out of the business tend to reach out to the girls still in it to help them find a way out.

they are not that lucky to get old most of them die of drink, smoke or killed but no body cares. ...a theory : maybe the ones who survive go to churches........ bad theory

probably OD or die from STDS and other dieases, unless you have the cases where they turn their lives around and adovacte to girls not to do what they did
