I mean i no of so many accounts of Christians who are tortured or beaten to death because they wont deny their faith in the Lord. If we are the deceived ones, why do we get beaten for it? Why in China do they feel the need to make Christianity illegal? Did you know that in Australia if you were a preacher and in your congregation there was a satanist, if he wanted to he could sue you because he felt that your teachings were offensive to him!
Why!? Why are Christians hated by so many. Why is it when we ask questions in stead of just answering it properly most answers will go something like this 'there is God, and you are an idiot!' What if there is a God, and an eternity, what do you have to lose form believing in him? Nothing! You will either win, or the result will be neutral. Please tell me your thoughts, and please dont just say there is God, its garbage, tell me why you think this? Tell me why you wont just give him a go? I am so lost to why you harden your hearts towards him? =\

Ok i will post some examples when i get some free time. I am 16, atm i am living with just me and my younger sister. I do not have much free time between school, work and looking after her. But when i get a decant amount of free time i will post some examples for you. One more thing, all Christian denominations are not the same, i am a born again believer, not a catholic. There are many Christians who have strayed from their faith, and done bad things, but please dont believe we are all like that. The only reason i argue about this is because i want the best for you! OK the guy below who commented and asked me to provide evidence of Christians being persecuted doesn't allow people to message him, so hopefully everyone who doesn't believe me about it will hav a loot at these.

This is dedicated to Christians who are lost or dying. That was the first thing i found, and the other 2 are good books i already knew of. Thats right i found these without even digging! It took me about 2 mins. I would find some more, but i just don't have the time. Any help wud be appreciated

Because there is a God & some of humanity refuse to listen to the "TRUTH".....they hated Jesus when He was on this earth in the flesh and some still hate Him & His followers. The hate has driven many to persecute & murder believers.What do you suppose was so awful about Jesus that we in fact murdered Him? Jesus was hated because He exposed the peoples wickedness & they did not want to hear HIS truth. If you think Christians are tortured, try being an atheist. Besides, Christians do their fair share of tormenting. Ever heard of the Crusades? How about the Inquisition? The decimation of Native Americans? Slavery defended by religious figures? I'm not offended by anyone's beliefs, but don't sit there and tell me Christians are persecuted in large numbers while Muslims are being treated the way they are today. Besides, six million Jews and millions of others, including handicapped, Gypsies, and homosexuals, were killed in the 1930's and 1940's by order of a man who followed the Christian faith. I don't believe in God. Please, stop trying to convince me that there is a being of supreme power who allowed all of those atrocities to be committed in his name.

lets not forget that some of those Christians were tortured by other Christians. in the crusades when Jerusalem was captured the Muslims allowed the Christians to remain and worship there whereas the Christians slaughtered every Muslim soul and destroyed their temples. Christians burnt those who didn't not follow their religion and tortured those who spoke against them and demanded money in exchange for forgiveness of sin. i will not follow a religion because religion was created by extremely intelligent men set of mass control!!! improving their social status and financial situation. Different denominations fought each other back then just as street gangs fight each other today, except they fought for members back then (which led to money via donations etc) whereas today they fight for territory to sell drugs. Both use violence and fear to get their way. In a modern world Christianity is losing support as it is no longer life threatening no to support Christ. This is why Christianity is persecuted, because they have spent centuries persecuting and murdering and torturing and ordering wars themselves, they have made themselves such a name, such a reputation as to deserve what they get. I am not saying it is wrong to follow God, i am saying that those who follow a religion a blind to its true ideals>>>money and control

Oh my, please give examples of Christians being beaten and killed because they are Christians instead of just saying it is so, (unless they live in a Arab country). I keep hearing you people say this but I never hear it anywhere else. How can the poor Christians possibly be so victimized when they are the LARGEST religion in the world and the majority or the population in the US. Statistics please not B.S.
It seems like this is something the Christians have in common with the Muslims, they all want to be martyrs.

Well this is maily alot of Pascal's wager so I'm going to drink.
Did you conveniently forget about all the people that the christians killed and tortured for not believing like they did??
And do you honestly believe that Christians are the tortured ridiculed people. Most christians that I've run into on this board hate everyone that doesn't believe the same way as them. I have seen very few answers on here from Christians. I see alot of bible quotes, "you're going to burn in hell", "accept Jesus as your savior", so on and so forth, but no real answers to questions being asked. Christians are hated because they tend to cram their religion down everyone else's throat (and I'm not talking about all christians) and threaten people of other beliefs with hell. I see alot of christians asking pretty much the same question you are.
Christians feel that they are the only ones that are right and expect everyone else to believe exactly like they do.
As far as there my belief in a god....I don't believe, why? Because there is no real proof that there is one. Why wont I just give him a go...because I don't believe he's real. I'd rather die standing on my own two feet then bowing at someone else who in my mind doesn't exist.
And you can't harden your heart towards someone who doesn't exist.
And my question to you is this...you feel that christians are the persecuted people..then why are you here trying to get Atheists, or whoever else that doesn't believe in your god to believe what you believe. Why can't you just understand that if we don't belive in god, we just don't believe in god and we would like for you to quit trying to save us.

Despite the fact that you have several questions imbedded in this one question, it seems like the crux of your question is wanting to know why atheists "harden our hearts" against Jesus or God. The fact is that the majority of people who don't believe in God don't believe because it's just too fantastical a concept to be believed. I don't hate God - I don't believe in that idea. If I did believe in God, I'd be a maltheist - someone who believes God is evil. Just look around - natural disasters, babies with birth defects, human nature is violent and cruel and we have to constantly fight to rise above our "God given" nature.
If God was good, why didn't he make our nature kind and compassionate naturally? If God made the world and everything in it, it was his choice to make evil - I'm lost as to why he would do that.
Luckily, I don't have to be lost about it or worry about it - I don't believe there is such a thing as a God.

Because Jesus said that because He is hated by the world, so too would the world hate them that follow after His Name. Being hated comes with loving and knowing Jesus. Jesus said, Pick up your cross and follow Me. This is the cross we have to bare. A servant is not greater than His Master. Just as He was treated so we are treated.

Why do you envision christians as so persecuted? Read up on the Inquisition, the Crusades, the Salem Witch Trials and the warlord Popes.

Some people are led by God to understand Him. Some people aren't (most). Those that aren't led by the Spirit through the will of the Father, to Christ, are going to react many ways. Jesus said that the world hates us. But that it hated Him before it hated us.
So it all makes sense to me. The world doesn't care what opinion you have, just so it isn't aligned with God's opinion.
