Jesus himself told us not to follow after mans traditions. so why do most Christians? we as Christians, most of us anyway, are mindless followers. it is so sad.

I follow no traditions of men. The Catholic church does a good enough job of doing that.

Jesus didn't actually say that. I think that you should read Mark chapter 7 again, because you seem to be misrepresenting what Jesus taught.

What Jesus said was that human traditions are evil if they are used as a loophole to get around God's commands. man cannot override the will of God.

Taking a shower every morning is a tradition; so is eating breakfast. neither one is inherently good or bad in of itself (Romans 14).

There is a long tradition of believing that traditional beliefs such as the belief in Jesus' comments on following the traditions of man are traditions of man.

In the bible in the book of Proverbs 16:18 "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall ". 1 John 2:16 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but of the world".Jeremiah 17:9 " The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it ? ".
