Pre-2004 of course.

It's not dishonest. Search the internet, you'll find numerous ex-Mormons who describe the ceremony. You are instructed to disrobe and put on a "shield" which is a towel with a hole in it for your head. Then the temple worker touches various places on your body with an oily finger.

If I don't understand it, then enlighten me. What does the shield look like, and what are you wearing under it? Did they or did they not touch the skin of your body in various places with an oily finger?

Daisy: Are you telling me there's a grand conspiracy to make people believe in the anointing ritual? Who's in charge?

It's a long sheet about 4 feet wide and 10 feet long with a hole in the middle.

The long sides lay in front and in back of the person, and the short sides drape over the shoulders

Hey meatbot, why are you trusting the perspectives of ex-mormons over current ones? I would tell you if there really was just a towel on my head and nothing else - but guess what? That's not how it was. Please trust me, and just understand that this something that you just don't understand.

Oh, I almost forgot - if you really do want to understand our temple worship you should really get a book called "The House of the Lord" by Boyd K. Packer. It's really good at explaining everything to someone who hasn't actually been in. Look it up on amazon and give it a read if you really want to know.

Enlightenment in spiritual things must come "line upon line, precept upon precept." Let me know when you've read that book, you'll need to understand the basics in that first. (not to be mean about it, but it's like math class, you need to take Geometry before calculus will ever make sense).

Yeah, its basically a robe. And no one touches your nude body. Infact, everything in the temple is geared towards modesty. The women wear dresses that cover to the neck line, to the ankles or longer and to the wrists. The men wear a collared, long-sleeved shirt and long pants. Modesty is extremely important in our religion and of course in the temple is held to the highest standard.
Those who say they were "nude"...I believe before 2004 like you said, they may have been "nude" under the robe, but never nude infront of any person at any time and certainly never touched in any inappropriate way. Anyone who says different I believe is just trying to slander the church.
I have been to the temple, performed the ordinances and it is the most sacred and wonderful ordinance/act I have ever been involved in. I love to see, go to and be in the temple.

Ah, I see your bigotry has forced you to slide into blatant dishonesty. Hmmm....interesting strategy.
