Is it whiplash? It could be arthritis setting in. Did the Doctor do x-rays on your neck, shoulder and back? Are you taking any drugs? Have you tried massage or acupuncture? They may be an option. Try taking Vitamns C,D for the pain.

Have you had an MRI recently? Has anyone thought that maybe you had a pinched nerve somewhere? Don't quit seeking medical opinions until you know for sure what is wrong. A doctor is out there who will properly be able to diagnose your problem. Sorry about the car wreck you were in & the pain you've had to endure since then. I wish you luck in getting a proper diagnosis & I hope it's soon.

I wish I had this 2 years ago when I damaged my rotator cuff while showing off. This is very detailed and really gives you the techniques you need to sort out your own shoulder issues and a lot more info such as preventing further injuries. If you have a shoulder keeping you awake at night you'll know it's no laughing matter.

I cured my sciatica with this natural treatment http://cure-sciatica.info
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

Well, I was in a work accident, injuring C-4/5 and C-5/6 disks.. It took 4 years before a neurologist finally did a Diskogram.. they ended up finding that I had a hole in those 2 disks, resulting in a Titanium alloy implant put in the place of one of the disk... Have they looked into the disk idea? Im not saying if that is it, that an implant is what you need. Your symptoms are very similar to mine. Although yours sounds more along the lines of a nerve being pinched or damaged..Having back pain myself, I hope you figure it out.. I would not wish back pain on my worst enemy.. Good Luck!

Sounds like you have a bit of nerve damage, but nothing that can't be healed. Pain is always an indication of lack of oxygen and chi. Try doing gentle exercise regularly, start 1 min, then increase to 2. What you exercise on the left, repeat on the right and try this simultaneously. Use circular movement with deep breathing. Simultaneous exercise of limbs makes the weaker limb stronger during exercise. Most physicians and exercise physiologists don't know this. I discovered this after my left arm got partially paralyzed after an accident. I didn't start the circular exercise until 1 year later, so I know you can still recover. I did modified chi gong and tai chi movement of both limbs simultaneously, always focusing on rhythmically breathing and imagining the oxygen travelling to the affected areas.
Are you taking a good mineral and trace mineral supplement with MSM (organic sulfur)? Sometimes after injuries, infections take hold, so it is wise to revamp your whole lifestyle. Begin with a more natural lifestyle, with whole fresh foods and avoid white sugar and artificial sweetners.) concentrate on building a new gut. (Body ecology diet. Paleolithic nutrition. Lots of anti-inflammatory stuff like vit c, Bromelain and a product I think works wonders for bones and joints called Bone-up by Jarrow. dont forget the natural healing powers of sulfur. Sulfur s found in many amino acids and in cruciferous veggies and in eggs and in meat. but MSM is fantastic for pain. Besides eating it ( up to 5,oo mg a day non toxic) you can also dissolve it in water and rub the afflicted areas. It has the same sulfur init that the warm mineral springs have. I use NOW brand. even helps pets. Also your body might not be healing because you might be too acid (eating too much sugar, dairy, breads, processed foods). Maybe your diet is perfect, but you don't get excercise because you hurt too much. try some gentle chi gong with lots of merkaba breathing. Good luck on your path to wellness. Sometimes we need a chronic injury to wake up to a change in lifestyle.
