Recently many articles have been written on how our World is growing cold to GOD, his love, his word, his Son, his commandments and for the first time the USA is heading in a downward spiral into secularism.

We are divided now in many areas of Politics, Conservatives vs Liberals the religious right and the religious left.. People are growing more cold to thier fellow-man families are isolated,

The Church is watching thier memberships diminish, the travesty of the Sexual Abuse in the Catholic Church, the Anglican Church embracing homosexual unions.

Where do you see this culture truly heading to?. Does Satan think he is winning souls?

Satan is indeed winning souls. You know the US is removing "In God We Trust" from money, right? There is a downward spiral, and hey, let's forget about Christianity, but religion as a whole, not even that, but spirituality, morals, values ...it's all in the pooper. Life is obviously more full filling living in sin. Personally I hope that somehow people have an awakening and realize that we are destroying ourselves.
It's weird but I am so obsessed with the whole 2012 thing, I hope to GOD that this will truly be a time of enlightenment that will wake us all.

IT has nothing at all to do with satan! It has to do with hypocrisy! The church(es) have for aeons restricted free thought in their followers and now the people are starting to see the error of their ways. You talk about the abuse in the Catholic Church which is abominable but you also mention the Anglican Church's acceptance of homosexuals as if they are synonymous, and they are actually quite different, one is as you described "ABUSE" the other is "NOT ABUSING" it is accepting reality and people as they are and not as objects of scorn as you see them. One, immoral the other moral. This way of thinking on your part is what is wrong with your belief system, you are a BIGOT and the BIGOTRY is sponsored by your church!
Superstition (religion) has no place in an educated society or a "just society" something the church(es) don't want you to have the option of creating. They (the churches) refer to their followers as "flocks" as in "sheep" - does that tell you something. To follow anything blindly is not a wise 'life choice' and apparently it is your choice to do so. You must free yourself of the yoke of believing that an invisible man in the sky is the, be all and end all to man's answer for life. Believing this is to be truly deluded and in my opinion a sort of mental illness. (brought on by a life time of brain washing)
This illness can be cured by logical thought and asking the right questions of those that teach religion and really listening to the answers, soon - very soon the answers stop making sense and common sense will take over and you will be free to live a good life free from the hate and fear and loathing the religions promote. Good luck and be well.

religion was created for one purpose, control, the way they saw to control was to create an idea that could answer questions that at the times were unanswerable. 'knowing' the answers to these questions made people seem that much more knowledgeable and hence powerful. they saw both financial and social profit in becoming a leading member of the church and different factions fought over domination of peoples as they saw higher memberships as a easy route to riches and power.
as the world became that much more advanced, questions that previously only had a spiritual answer were given a scientific answer, an answer that could be logically proved. This meant people no longer had to turn to 'god' for answers, they could now turn to science, a science that did not demand they pay, prey or follow a certain lifestyle.
Once more as freedom of speech has truly escalated the church no longer has the power to persecute those who stand against it.
In the modern world there is no need for religion, there a few questions that it can answer than science cant, there are no consequences for going against it and in this more free thinking society people can see the truth behind the churches formation and what it has done through history, torture, murder and war.
These things have contributed to a decline in religion not Satan (who was most likely created as a way of scaring people into PAYING a church to forgive their sins)

I do not believe the world is growing cold to God, but it sure is towards religion, and rightly so because religion is nothing more than a money making machine, and has lost it's basic truth, it has become a perverted fear mongering institution that looks only to wealth, power, and greed, sadly though there are simply to many people that support this new concept religion has created, the anti-Christ has surly infiltrated religion today, and I only see violent travesties for religion in the future.

Don't lose hope nor faith, this is just prophesy being played out. these things must take place. The Lord said in the scriptures that " because Iniquity ( sin) shall abound the love of many shall wax cold. The lord also talk about the False prophets that shall deceive many, which is causing people to curse God & do whats right in their own hearts. Just rember that the scriptures must be fulfilled. Plain & Simple

Ah yes, and the theocracy of the bubonic Dark Ages was such a rising action of humanity. Back in the good old days of America where them dirty secularists weren't all over the place, all the slavery, smallpox and lack of toilet paper were so much better, right? Sometimes I wish those godless liberals would just back off and let me lynch unto my Lord in peace! Why oh why can't I get away with burning a witch at the stake for listening to classic rock, God? Why?! I see the pagan and I can't kill him? Why am I being persecuted?!

I see increasing conflict. especially in countries like America where the official State Religion is Atheism or state controlled socialism. The American Judicial System has already abandoned the Constitutions freedom of speech for Christians using the IRS regulations and removing non Marxist beliefs from the education system. Their justification is found in the Constitution of the former USSR which states there shall be a separation of Church and State.
Europe has already followed Hitler into state atheism.
Non Christian countries also reject freedom of faith. for example Christians are being killed in Iraq and throughout the Muslim world. Christ said we would be hated for his sake and many of the questions in this forum of Yahoo Answers show the hatred and bigotry against Christ and his followers.

But what of our own millennium? Will it all end well? No one can know, but that of course doesn't stop anyone from guessing. And the nature of those predictions always revolve around the usual suspects: salvation and/or self-satisfaction. With that in mind, I humbly add my own prophecy of what the dawn of the new millennium shall bring forth: one thousand more years of the same, old crap.

I think more people who claim to be rleigious will have very little faith. there will be more athiests and people will start using religion more and more to justify horrific injustices and to explain what is happening to the world.

Like global warming and stuff. when all the natuaral disasters come about these days people always say god is punishing us. they avoid responsibility through religion.
