I think she has been planning this for longer than we have been aware. A more obvious reason is that she has a lot of money to get those gears turning... FAST. Another reason this may be happening fast is that she is a public figure and cannot get away without dotting her i's and crossing her t's as far as paperwork is concerned. She cannot just disappear with some baby like most of us. If she fudges something they will find her.
I think she is an awesome person and I defend her actions a lot. She wants to start her life with her new baby and no one can blame her. She should wait in line like the rest of us and maybe she wants to but the agency is pushing it. A lot of international agencies want their gears oiled and they know she can pay. They may be taking the steps quickly so that they can get more money quickly and she is just shelling out the dough. It is what I would do too.

I would very much like to see the existing Federal Law enforced, and that the states did not have to protect themselves from illegal aliens. But the Feds have NOT done that for almost thirty years, and in addition, did not fund the Border Patrol, or man them. They drove vehicles with 100,000 miles on them on dope chases and that risks their lives indeed. So not only did they not enforce the law, they risked Border Patrol lives, and that, friends, is criminal negligence. Something obvious to me needs to be restated. When the illegal alien crosses the border, if they make it and almost three fourths do make it, they head to a place where they can communicate. That 'place' is the place where the Mexican American are. And when they get there, they try and look as much like Mexican Americans as they possibly can. Then they steal jobs from the Mexican Americans. Some sell dope in the Barrio. That law will mean the folks in the Barrio won't have to put those iron bars on their windows so they can sleep at night. It means the American People can go to bed without worrying about a prowler from Mexico coming into their home in the middle of the night. Are the Feds supportive of that idea. No. They don't give a hoot!

Because the child's an orphan. Visas are immediately available once the adoption is legally complete. You could do the same thing via an international adoption agency. The cost is about $50,000.

The spate of high-profile international adoptions by celebrities such as Madonna and Angelina Jolie is fine so long as it doesn't degenerate into a trendy thing to do, U.S. adoption agencies said on Friday.
"Anytime a celebrity adopts, it increases awareness, which is good," said Susan Secor, a spokeswoman at U.S. agency One World Adoption. "My concern is celebrities adopting could look like a fad, and it is not meant to be a cool thing to do."
"They (Madonna and Jolie) may look like they are saving orphans, which does happen. But most parents just want to become parents," she said. "It is a meaningful thing to do, but if it becomes cool, then it may be treated more lightly than it deserves."
April Cognito of the Adoption Network Law Center said celebrities highlighting the plight of homeless children helped, but "it is almost glorifying international adoption."
"The public can look at celebrities and say 'Oh, Paris Hilton is carrying this type of cell phone.' But if she wants a child from Africa is that cool too?" she said.
Celebrity adoptions in developing countries have raised another concern -- that stars are using their status to bypass laws. In Malawi, adoption groups have questioned whether Madonna skipped legal steps that apply to foreigners adopting from there.
Jolie touched on that subject recently, telling a French magazine she would not adopt from Malawi due to unclear adoption laws. Later she issued a statement saying she had said positive things that were omitted from the article.
Appearing on the CBS network's "Late Show with David Letterman" this week, Madonna said she and her British film director husband, Guy Ritchie, had not expected the difficulties or controversy they faced in the adoption.
"There's over a million orphans in Malawi, and in my opinion the laws need to change because these children need to be rescued," Madonna said.
For her part, Jolie has spoken favorably about her adoption of children from Cambodia and Ethiopia.
Marshall Williams of the Gladney Center for Adoption said that with strict worldwide governing agencies and immigration law, chances of celebrities getting preferential treatment are slight.
"No one would go into an adoption thinking it is illegal," he said.
Secor recalled her own frustration waiting to adopt one child while American celebrity Rosie O'Donnell adopted several children, and said other people had that feeling.
"It is hard when I have parents come to me and say 'How come their adoptions went so quickly?"' she said.

My guess is money, fame and an international reputation helped her out also the fact that she has done it before -so knows what to do and when to do it. We have no real idea how long she has been in the process of attempting to adopt. It could have been a lengthy process that we are just coming in at the end of.

Angelina Jolie is richer than God! She can pay any fees that she wants or needs to pay in order to get the child to the States. It is sad, but that is the way it is. She is also adopting. What are the laws for that? I know that they are different than bringing your wife to the States. I am going through that process right now with my wife, so I feel your pain...IT ONLY TOOK YOU 4 MONTHS!?!?!?!?!?

Because the current administration thinks of the middle class as peons (just like they think of the poor in Mexico). Because the USA peons will take anything the government dishes out to them and not complain.
What will you do about it? Nothing probably. You will still vote for whatever candidate the parties give you.
Eat swill peon until you rise up and cast off your yoke!
