I received a file from someone who said they were going to zip the file because of it's size. When I received the file, it was not zipped. It was sent as a text file and opened in Notepad. The text is unreadable and I need to convert it. Help?

the file extension was more than likely not allowed to be sent through their email provider. they renamed the file to myfile.txt and sent it. the first answer is right, change it from myfile.txt to myfile.zip (or rar etc..) and it should change the extension to the zip.

Good Luck

Close file, save as ZIP
If the file WAS sent as ZIP, then it should be unzippable.
