Or they should go around insulting people like Jesus did:

Mat 23:17 You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that has made the gold sacred?

Joh 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires.

Mat 23:33 You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?

Luk 11:40 You fools! Did not he who made the outside make the inside also?

No to mention the verse in which he called someone : son of b*tch .

Simple one, you must be a Democrat.

Chris P, you've been mistaken. It is our job to lead people to Christ. The Holy Spirit moves through us. Have you not heard of the great commission? That is 90% the job of the church, to win souls for Jesus. That's just like saying Christians shouldn't judge. We don't judge the people, we judge and hate the sins they commit. That's why we condemn a sinful lifestyle, not the sinner. If you choose not to change then you're accepting the judgment that God has for you. You should read your bible, and stop trying to act like God is just going to love you for who you are. That's a liberal lie! God loves us, and wants us to conform to the image of Christ. This is all over the New Testament, but so many over look it.

I didn't know that it was my responsibility to call people to God.
I thought that it was God's responsibility.
You know, The Holy Spirit.
I believe He came here on the day of Pentecost and hasn't left yet.
I thought it was His Job.
I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
John 16:7 "But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
John 16:8 "And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin, and righteousness, and judgment;
Gee, I see the words HE there, not me.

Mat 28:16 But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated.
Mat 28:17 And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Mat 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Gee, I see the words to the" eleven".

I'm not one of the eleven. I think they did their job a long time ago don't you?

Jesus loved the common man, but had no tolerance for the hypocritical religious leaders of His day
In today's world it would be no different.
The hypoocritical religious leaders of our day are a big reason why non believers don't take the Christian faith seriously. They, too , are a brood of vipers, and they know it.

Jesus the Christ was speaking to the Pharisees and the Saducees, the religious leaders of the Jews. He could have been speaking to the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church, or to politicians. Jesus was not a coward. If you want to call the Son of God "insulting," that is your perogative. I prefer to call him introspective. He knew just what those people were about.

As usual, you are always making things up just to smear the Christian faith. In all those verses Jesus was rebuking either the religious leaders or those hostile to his message. Was Jesus going round insulting people like you accused Him of doing? Or was He only reserving those harsh words for certain groups of people? Have you gone for your English classes yet?

dude, i dunno if u a christian, or u a muslim, or u just trying to prove a point.
but a few hundred years ago, people could prove with the bible that the earth was flat. and that the earth was the centre of the universe.
if you took the bible too seriously. you'll go quite nuts. it's just stories written by people, thousands of years ago, who believed they were talking with/on behalf of god.
and they fabricated stories to relay a message, or retold a happening years after the actual happening, after in his own mind, or after a few editing via the grapevine, the real story got a bit embellished.
so what you read in the bible, is not fact.
dont try and prove apoint with it. there is no god. or gods. there is only a world filled with scared people, clinging onto any and all religion, cause the thought of no god, and things actually just being chaos, scares the crap out of them.

It depends on what God has them doing. Some people need to be *tribulated* into focus. I won't disallow God whatever He sees that needs to be done. And I think that you shouldn't either, but you go ahead and do what YOU think is right.

After all:
Romans 14:4
Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

Sure, some people are not in touch with God and claim to represent Christianity. But that is not how it is in all cases.

I'll tell you one thing right now: calling someone an idiot does NOT show them the love of Christ! We need to tell them that, yeah, they're going to hell (excuse my bluntness) if they keep going the way they're going, but then tell them that there is a God who loves them SO much that He would send His only Son to die for them, so they wouldn't have to! Don't insult them; tactfully show them that there is a problem, and give them the solution: Jesus.

Jesus did not make it a habit to go around insulting everyone until they agreed with him. His vitriol was saved for a few (and the bullwhip even fewer). In fact the people he reserved this language for were usually the religious elite! He was not rude to people in general.
