Yes, this would be considered application software. Software is any part of code that is written to run a function on a computer. Application Software is a set of software that will run on its own. That is, if you look at it, you can start it up and run it. This is as opposed to software libraries such as .dll files which are software components that run specific functions, but do not run completely on their own.
