I drink about once a month, but when i drink i drink alot. I found out I can drink about 15 shots worth(I stopped at 15 cuz everyone else who was keeping pace passed out) and pass all of the sobriety tests and appear completely sober and i remember everything clearly

If you don't drink alone or just for the sake of drinking, and know when to stop - then in general no you are not an Alcoholic. Binge Drinker - Yes, and it sounds if you might have some other issues going on in your life if this is a regular monthly activity. I would cut back some - Like My Mom Use To Say - Slow Down Nobodies Going To Take It From You - lol

after 15 shots you may appear to be sober but you are not! I can drink till I pass out and remember everything. . . some people can. If you are driving after this you are flat out an idiot. Your actions and fun could harm someone else even though you THINK you are sober. Look up the definition of alcohol poisoning. Then go from there. I don't think your an alcoholic, but anyone that drinks in access is not responsible. FYI my nephew died at 10 months old from liver failure . . maybe if you're going to destroy your liver you should give it to someone that could actually live because of it. Why damage a body that works, someday you might have a kid like my nephew, and what if you've screwed up your body and have to watch him die because you wanted to have fun...

No you are not an alcoholic. But most likely you are a big fat liar and 12 yrs old. 15 shots is basically a bottle of booze. The standard American pour is 1.25 oz (no bartender will pour this if they work for tips) most likely you would get a 2 oz pour (then you are drinking more than a bottle) but lets just say that you are getting a 1.5 oz pour. In this case you are almost drinking one full bottle of booze. Not likely....Especially for someone who drinks as infrequently as yourself. And no way are not showing signs of intoxication.

So now you can go to 7th grade homeroom and lie to your friends about how much you drank out of your step-dads stash this weekend with the upmost confidence of sounding like you know what you are talking about. And you can call BS on your friends that try to "one-up" you and say they had, oh I don't know, 15 shots.

I could be wrong about this but you would have to be 300lbs of pure athletic muscle and have a liver the size of a watermelon to withstand the effects of a full bottle of liquor.

The test of whether you're alcoholic or not is, can you leave it alone if you choose to? If you can go a couple of months without drinking and it doesn't drive you nuts, then no, you're not. If you can have 1 beer with your lunch and then leave the bar, you're not. See the pattern? Alcoholics can't stop. AA people think everyone who has ever had a drink is an alcoholic. Test it for yourself, and be honest with yourself.

The only person who can say if you are an alcoholic is you. For me the determining factors was the inability to stop drinking once I started and what alcohol turned me into (lying, stealing, evil scumbag). Check out an AA meeting or two. BTW - most people who aren't alcoholic go through life without ever wondering if they are an alcoholic. Hope you find your way!

It is for no one else to say if you are or are not an alcoholic. You can find this in their first step..
***your life became unmanageable***

Seems to me you are doing ok with this... right now.. but with your ability of drinking and not feeling it... I would be afraid that the big ***A*** guy would jump up and grab me from behind... and who knows = where your bottom might be???

Bottom would probably be ===way=== down there because of your tolerance to alcohol...

SO== watch it bub

Are you able to stop after three or four or six or eight? Then you probably do not have a problem. If you can't stop once you start, that might be a problem. Not all alcoholics drink every day.

you drink once a month and are afraid you are an alcoholic??

WHAT???!!!

no, sounds like you are just an out of control binge drinker...take it easy on the shots....you can't possibly feel good the next morning. and that's drinking to get drunk, not to enjoy the taste....waste of money!

No, you binge and you have an insanely high tolerance. But I don't think you're an alcoholic. Be careful though. I almost died once from binge drinking.
