Can't they see the harm its doing to our youths? The government spends billions of tax-payers dollars a year toward teaching abstinence in school, and sex-ed is banned from most schools. A couple of statistics for you:
Teens that are only taught abstinence are 1)prone NOT to use a condom if they do engage in premarital sex. 2) Are ten times more likely to engage in oral or anal sex, and 3) these kids are not taught about sexually transmitted diseases and how to protect from them. Apparantly abstinence is the ONLY prevention for them. It's like driver's ed teaching that the only way to avoid a car accident is to stay at home all the time. In the era we live in, saying condoms fail 90% of the time is ridiculous. Planned Parenthood address abstinence in all their programs and literature, but don't fail in educating on sexually transmitted diseases and OTHER ways to prevent them.

There's a difference between promoting abortion and promoting women's rights. I acknowledge that Christians fight abortion, but I'm asking about sex ed.

I am a Christian and I do not have a problem with sex ed. I do disagree with some of you assertions. My high school had an abstinence based educations. I have to disagree with you point 3. At my school we were taught extensively about STDs and were told that abstinence is the only way to protect against STDs and pregnancy 100%. But we were told if you do decided to have sex you need to be careful and us some kind of protection. We were never told that condoms fail 90% of the time. We were told they fail around 14% of the time which is the truth.

To answer you original question, Christians are against Planned Parenthood because they advocate abortions. The minute they stop advocating murder as a means of birth control, I would have no problem supporting them.

Planned Parenthood is the spearpoint for abortion. They spend millions to push it.
