Silly silly cat owner! Cats hate water, and don't need baths! But since you gave her one, it sounds like you got whatever you used on her in her eye. Right now, its burning, stinging and won't go away. First of all flush that eye! Take a peice of clean paper towel or toilet paper and soak it. Put her on your lap on her back and hold her tight, because she's going to scream and try to run when you do this. Make the paper towel damp enough so that what you squeeze it a drop or two comes off it. Hold her eye open GENTLY, and it doesn't have to be al the way open- and get no more than 3 drops of water IN the eye. This way their eyelid won't be there to prevent the water.
After you've done this, keep an eye on her, and if she continues to get worse call the vet. I have 4 male cats, and every now and then they'll get something in their eye and it'll shut or get a little red. This is what i do, and it works EXCELLENTLY every time. If people disagree with me, than they;ve never done this. Its a basic eye flush, and for something like soap, its a godsend.

I have never seen this before but it sounds like some sort of conjunctvitus. Probably best to take her to the vet. Unless there was some sort of scratch to the eye that occured when you bathed her I doubt the bath did anything to cause this. Just make sure you use shampoo for cats and not human shampoo. Recently one of my cats had a clear fluid from the eye and it cleared up on its own. But white stuff sounds a little more serious. The vet probably would have an ointment that would clear it up. You can google cats and find out lots of info that way if the vet is to expensive. I wouldn't let it go sounds like she may be in pain if the light is hurting her eyes.

The person, dreamkil does not know what she is talking about, cats do need baths. However something surely irrated that eye there fore should be examined by the vet. It sounds like the eye got =scratched somehow and the eye is infected, but whatever it is, must be taken in to doc right now. I hope evry thing is alright and your cat gets a healthy eye back. It must be in allot of pain. We don't want that. Good Luck to you and your baby.

Sounds like she got an infection from whatever soap you used to clean her. Any vet will tell you that you shouldn't give your cat a bath. They do it for themselves just fine. If your cat gets really dirty and requires a bath, take her to a pet grooming salon where they're professionally trained to give animals baths and have the proper grooming products. You need to take your cat to the vet to get an antibiotic eye drop. Have fun w/ that one! Yikes!

Take her to the vet. She could have an eye infection which may or may not be connected to bathing her.

Probably whatever you used to bathe her got in her eye. Call the vet and see what they can recommend for you to do. He may want to see her to be sure there is no damage or corneal scratch.

Aww, maybe she got soap in her eye. Cats clean themselves so you don't have to bathe them. Call a pharmacy or a vet's office and ask them what you can use as an eye wash. I hope your kitty gets better
