My son came home from school with all sorts of teeth hygeign samples including some of those new colgate disclosing tablets. Unfortunatly there was no instructions on how to use them. He is bugging me to let him use them. Anyone know what to do with them? I am guessing let them disolve in warm water and swish with them maybe?

The disclosing tablets are used to show kids where the new and old plaque is in the mouth. Usually the new plaque( the bacteria that just formed over the last 24 hours) is a red colour and the old plaque ( bacteria that has developed and been able to manifest its self longer) is a blue colour. The areas that are blue is most likely area he has a difficult time reaching with his brush or areas that he neglects and thats why the plaque in that area is more mature...these are areas he will need to improve on.
The tablets are just chewed in the mouth until they are fully absorbed and then he is too spit out all the access and swish the rest around with his tongue. Great tool for helping kids become more aware when they brush.

You are suppose to chew the tablets until they become dissolve and swish around your mouth and then spit it out. But you have to make sure that he does not swallow them, they taste like candy.
All he has to do is just chew, swish and spit, NO Swallowing.

If he accidentally does swallow it no biggie.

After brushing chew the tablets. Any 'stuff' on the teeth will show up.

Try reading the instructions. More than likely you will chew them.
