Diversion surgery. This is usually the preferred procedure for treating bile reflux. In what is called a Roux-en-Y operation, surgeons make a new connection for bile drainage further down in the intestine, thereby diverting bile away from the stomach.

I have been diagnosed with GERD after complaining of heartburn and too much bloating and acid. Endoscopy showed no suspicious elements aside from a green liquid reflux in my intestine .Dr said it might be bile but after giving me antacid ,etc .that did'nt help, I was still back to step 1. She could'nt seem to do anything for me anymore. Like you, I am also suffering and looking for a good Dr.

If bile acid reflux is present, medications like Ursodiol can be helpful. Surgery however, is the definitive treatment.
