When I am on a website that has an e-mail link it defailts to Outlook to send the message but I don't have outlook set up so I end up cutting & pasting the address and then composing from yahoo.

you will need a pop3 account for it from yahoo. But yahoo charges you for it... so if you really need it then buy it. Gmail provides you with a free pop3 account. all the best...

You have to upgrade your yahoo.

Upgrade to Mail Plus so you can:
download your Yahoo! Mail in an email client, such as Outlook forward your Yahoo! Mail to a different address

Click on Options, then mail options inside of your yahoo mail then click on POP and Forwarding.

You can't use Outlook if you have the free Yahoo mail service. You must have the next one up and that isn't free.

You dont need to pay to upgrade. You can setup outlook to use yahoo without paying anything.Yahoo do have another option and it is shown below.
