ok...so i posted on Monday about the b/f putting his hand over my face while i was sleeping. everyone said to dump him. now am trying to do that but he WILL NOT go away. he actually came over last nite...i asked him to leave...he looked at me and said "no, you can't make me". (He is 40 by the way)...so I went out to my patio, saw the police driving by our apts and walked out to the road to talk to them. I was told that unless he knowingly tries to inflict bodily harm on me, they really can't make him leave. Said that the sleep "thing" was probably just an accident. I told them I didn't want him there, they told me sorry. So I guess as long as you aren't hurting anyone, you can just go live in their house and they can't do $hit about it. Talked to our apt manager, asked them to change the locks and they said they would put in "on the list" but not to expect anything for about 6 mos. explained the situation, he said he was sorry, but there were more pressing things.

you can have the locks to your apartment changed yourself and deduct the cost from your rent (tell the manager your going to do this first). if they still give you problems threaten to get lawyers involved. that also will work on a crazy boyfriend. note: in order to end a relationship only one has to terminate it not a mutual decision. bf sounds like he might have issues (translation nut-job) look into getting a restraining order! good luck

go file a restraing order if you are the only one on the list and he is just a well i guess ex-boyfriend then he has no right to stay at your apartment. when you go to get the restraing order tell them what happened about the hand thing and it made you feel unsafe to be around him. tell them about you being the only one on the lease, and that you broke up with him and he keeps comming back. They will be able to tell you how to go about making him move out. most of the time you can have a sherrif go and remove him without you there . they give him time to pack a few things and then set up a date for him to come back and get all the rest. if you seriously broke up with him and he wont leave go get a restraing order it is your apt. not his the law will recognize that. if he didnt leave he doesnt take you seriously and he thinks he can push over you and that is not good . good luck

if your apt manager wont change the lock do it yourself and when that dude is gone put his **** outside by the door. thats the only way that you can show him that you mean business. i'm going thru something similar but you have got to put your foot down and be consistant with what you tell him because if you ttake him back one min. then want him to leave the next min your just going to make things worse for yourself.
so be consistant in what you say and do and he will see that you are not playing games with him.
