Well I suppose that depends on who you define as 'we'.

Historically it seems that your answer must be yes, however you have to question whether this should be our attitude today, considering how civilised our world has become., I wouldn't have thought so.

There has always been a distrust of Jewish people, every since the 'new European Christians' blamed the Jews for the death of Christ, and If we are to believe the works of the Bible, then the council of Jews that codemmed Christ sure have a lot to answer for.

However you obviously don't have to look further than National Socialism to get an idea of the feelings of anti-semitism. Thankfully these views are today considered barbaric, although there are some Palestinian's and a certain Iranian Prime Minister who suggest otherwise.

Hitler's argument was that the Jewish people were devious and prosperous, although I fail to see how hard working and ambitious is a crime. It is also my opinion that the Jews were simply an easy scapegoat during WWII, and it could have and would have been any minority, it just happened to be them, why Hitler hated the Jews is a topic greater minds then mine are discussing.

The main worry is however, is that this hated can easily resurface. You only have to look at the reaction to Muslims in England following the London bombings (I cant speak for American viewvs post 9/11 as I wasn't there, although I imagine they were similar).

I know this is probably a long winded answer, and your answer must depend on who you ask. but I have tried to give an honest and imparcial answer. however it doesn't take much to turn normal, reasonably intelligent people into mindless bigots. just ask the Bosnian muslims or the Isrealies.

Whether you hate the Jews or not (just as it would be if you hated Muslims, Christians etc...) is irrelevant, it's what you do with your hatred that counts. Yes I agree with you about Palestaine, however they do themselves no favours by blowing up buses (amongst other things) to get their message across

I'm not quite sure whether trk is aiming her opinion at my posting, but If she is then she's wrong. Firstly I never said Hitler hated Jews because they killed Christ, and secondaly your presuming the Jews were Gods people, you dont know that for a fact, its a Christain BELIEF.

Also it makes no difference David, whether she's a devil worshipper or not, i don't give a sh*t what she does in the privacy of her own home. Its when people start forcing their beliefs and opinions on others that we have a problem

I'm not one of the 'we', and I'm an atheist, I 'dislike' a lot of religious groups , but out of the lot of them I admire the Jews.
After the Holocaust they were determined never to be cra**ed on again, they pursued the Nazis long after the war and made many pay.
I really suspect that Christians still think that the Jews killed their 'God' Jesus it was actually the Romans that executed Jesus, not the Jews, and that was because he was a criminal, he broke the law. (This is assuming he ever existed, I'm not convinced of even that)!
But what about Muslims? they certainly have no love of the Jews, who does the Holy city really belong to is probably the main question there?
No the Jews are not on my 'dislike' list at all, I admire them.
Imagine that? an atheist saying he admires a religious group!!

you really are narrow minded how can you despise any race as a race, there are good and bad in all races and in the jews case there are a lot more good than bad. Now you are getting to the crux of the matter you don't despise the jews who live at peace in most countries in the the world but the actions of the Israeli government. you are entitled to your opinion on the israeli government but if you lived in a country where all your neighbours want your country wiped off the face of the earth how would you behave? It was the terrorists in lebanon who made things worse by indescriminately firing rockets into israel do you despise the terrorists and the suicide bombers as well?

No, I don't despise Jews at all. Their ancestors were once God's Chosen people. Jesus was a Jew. The bible is full of Hebrews and Israelites that are ancestors of the Jews.

The question is why do some despise the Jews? Why did Hitler despise them? Because he felt that they had killed Jesus? The Jews of 1940's had nothing to do with the death of Jesus. Jesus came to earth to die for us. Those who handed him over to Pilot were fulfilling prophecy. That is like saying White Americans today had anything to do with the enslaving of African Americans. Do we have to pay for the sins of our fathers? It is ignorance and intolerance that causes prejudice. Why do people need someone to hate? Jesus told us to love our "neighbor", he didn't say love our neighbor only if they're not a Jew.

None of that makes any sense. To answer your hate question, I don't despise Jews but, ofcourse they are hated by a great many people and history and the present have already answered that question. Your question is even more proof of the hate that Jews have experienced.

At least I don't, can't answer for you. I do know that when a person despises someone they hold an anger inside which will only give you seeds of anger to be sown. And if you plant an apple seed you won't get a bannana. If you know what I mean.

We should deffrentiate between Zionsm which most jews are following them with Jews who followed all what Mosa asked them to do .
But Most Jews are not following the right path.
I think the History tells you how far they are acceptable or not.

um, what? why despise them? Remember, that they came before Jesus and were God-approved up until then. Jesus showed them the error of their ways and gave them a choice. He didn't curse the Jews. It was the Romans that crucified him. He said, "forgive them for they know not what they do". I have seen too much anti-semitism spouted from Bible teachers. It wasn't s'posed to be like that! Remember that Jesus was born and raised a Jew. Was he ever told to hate himself? Nonsense! People make up religions and should be judged individually if at all. I don't think there should be one right religion and several wrong ones. People say they speak for God but how can they be sure? unless each one of us hears the same voice, it's at our discretion to believe it or not. How can every religion be right or wrong? They all believe in God, right? And Jesus believed in God too. He said, "I am going to your father and my father". Same father!

Did Jesus hate himself?

Anyway, the Palestinian cottage industry makes bombs which tourists aren't encouraged to take across international boarders, thus tourism is down and so is trade...no wonder they get frustrated.

In Britain we banned blood sports and fox hunting, I guess some folk hate Bull fighting as well. But in Israel they sport each other and it ain't so kool.
