Once I get there I'm not coming back to the sinful place. If anyone wants to talk to me, they will just have to wait until they get there.

I think once your there, you are pretty much stuck. I don't think you really care whats going on....on earth, because you are in such an elated state. I have heard Christians make bible references regarding, "there will be no tears or sorrow in heaven." So based on that comment...if people could look down on us...don't you think what they would see would make them sad.

The entire belief system of the LDS church is based on the idea that God, angels, and the faithful departed continue to converse with man. Why would it not be so.

No, there's no rule. Those on the other side are constantly trying to talk to others. Some can hear; most won't.
