I've been itching on my back, legs, stomach, arms, ears, and thighs. Where ever I scratch turns red and gets puffy. Whenever Ive had an itch before my skin would turn red but it never reacted with the puffiness before. It has'nt stopped for 2 weeks and I havent changed laundry soap or bath soap or anything. Ive washed and rewashed all my clothes, sheets and blankets. I havent tried any new foods or perfume. Im not allergic to any medication of foods that I'm aware of. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea if it will pass or if I should see a doctor.

I would definately see a doctor before consulting anyone on y answers, but I would say that you had an allergic reaction to food. Have you ate any seafood lately?

You should see a doctor, probably one that deals with allergies because it sounds like you are having an allergic reaction to something if you are red and puffy. My allergist says people can develop allergies at any time and can become allergic to things that never bothered them before. Until you can find out what the problem is you should be able to find some relief from the itching by using a lotion called Caladryl Clear. As the name suggests it is a clear liquid and is quickly absorbed into the skin and works within minutes to relieve itching. Good luck to you.

I would try Benadryl ...if it is an allergy this should help...
Allergies are ever changing....you can not be allergic to something one day and the next your body has changed and you are now allergic.
You could also try taking an oatmeal bath...Aveeno makes this product...you can find it at any drug store. Doctors suggest it for bathing children with chicken pox.
Could it be poisin ivy or poisin oak? If you scratched an infected area then scratched a new area....it spreads....calamine lotion or Caladryl usually helps this.
If you get no relief....definitely see a doctor.

I feel your misery!!!!
Do you have a rash? The word scabies comes to mind. Also, people develop allergies to things that they have previously used with no problem. Frequently, a cause is never identified.
I had a friend who developed an allergy to peanuts after enjoying them for 50 years. She found them on sale so bought several jars. She then started with hives and itching on a daily basis. It took her several trips to the hospital and a couple months of misery to figure out what was causing it. SHE figured it out. And that is usually how it gets figured out.
(If it is an allergic reaction, zantac will help for the itch. It won't make you drowsy like benadryl. Also try lotion, cooler clothes and baths etc. Heat tends to worsen itching!!!)

To relieve madness of itching, put 1/2 cup vinegar into a warm bath and soak in it for about 10 - 15 minutes. This will restore the acid mantle to your skin and give you instant relief. The ph balance of your skin has been disrupted by something, usually its caused by cosmetics, perfumes, soaps, cremes, moisturisers, cleansers/toners, basically anything your skin comes into contact with. Geez, maybe its a new type of makeup or moisturiser??
GOOD LUCK

You ARE having an allergic reaction.
Sometimes you don't have to change soap and such. The manufacturer sometimes changes their formula.
See a doc...
