I am so disappoint in my friends. Everytime they get in my car they say Civic and Corolla are better just because they are Honda and Toyota, and Nissan is supposedly worse quality than those two. I don't believe it... what do you think?

Had the UK spec Nissan maxima which is your infiniti i30 but still based around your Maxima.
A great car lots of fun and very underrated in the UK too .
A great car and the extras total vip spec ride.
But as with most things everyone goes for the norm when got max in UK was looking at civics look great but found them to be too common.
Not sure about the other makes but on my 5th nissan now great cars and engines and looks.

Even though the Honda and Toyota brands may be better overall, (I've owned all three brands, and that has been my experience), The Civic and The Corolla are definitely NOT better cars than the Maxima. The Maxima is one of the better automobiles you can own.

Your friends have their heads up their butts, no piece of crap Civic or Corolla can compete with the Maxima, the Accord and Camry can barely compete with it, much less the even lower models. Maxima is the best car by Nissan, time to get a new set of friends that know something about cars, not a bunch of NOPI wannabe's.

Maximas are not even on the same level as a Honda or Toyota. That's an insult to the Maxima. The parts are more expensive and the other makers of Maximas are Infiniti's. Maximas are durable and are great cars. I want one. You should go and get a Maxima. It will keep them from being in your car.

Personally, I would make them walk if they dislike your vehicle. They don't NEED to ride in your vehicle, it's an option :-)

But yes there is a mantra that Honda and Toyota build faultless vehicles, and this allows the perception that they are great vehicles.

But facts are fact. A $15-20K Civic/Corolla is in a different league than a $27K Maxima. YOU should learn THEIR weak points and mention it when they degrade your cars... And let me show you some.

"My car as a V6, and well, yours don't".
"My car has real fabric headliner, NOT mousefur" (Toyota goes cheap on headliners)
"My Maxima has real carpeting, not cardboard mousefur" (Toyota loves using that mousefur)
"My Maxima has lighted buttons at night" (try finding any extra buttons lit on a Civic).
"MY car has the sunroof button where it belongs" (Not behind a steering wheel on the typical Honda).
"Mine has transmission that last" (Honda and Toyota can't say that lately)
"My engine was awarded 10 Best by WardsAuto, and doesn't develop sludge" (Toyota is settling a class-action lawsuit about that now).

Again, it's all on what you study on your vehicle, and there's. They have many issues on their own, but it's "trendy" to own one of them. Ironically, todays buyers are not as loyal as they used to be...so after they trade in their vehicles for other brands, you will notice this change.

I have a friend myself who was the vehicle of the Toyota engine sludge problem. Who again bought another where the transmission died. Well, she's not buying Toyota ever again. She too had that "holier" than thou attitude on her vehicle but then notice it was just as reliable as her husbands Ford. Now she drives a Volvo...she matured.

So don't let your friends put you down, I say you study the faults on their vehicle, so you have something to counterattack with.

Hope this helps :-)

maximas are very nice and reliable.

A civic or corolla is not even close to the same class of vehicle as the maxima. those are entry-level budget/commuter cars while a maxima is full luxury high end car.

the altima competes with those cars...however the newer altimas do put the civic/corolla to shame.

dude the maxima just looks shitty to me ad it is true i would first have a civic and then a corrolla and last a maxima if they were all in the same quality and condition.

YES. There are no bad Maximas, because the model has not had a bad year.
