As I see and read 2 Timothy 3:16 the bible is of god because it's called scripture. The parts of scripture that got left on the cutting room floor in the council of Nicea would also be works of god as would the Buddhist Dhama, the Uphanishads, The Baghavad Gita or the Unibomber Manifesto as long as somebody calls it scripture.

The verse (given by another here) that claims all Scripture is inspired by God. Funny thing is... when that was even written, let alone said, the New Testament was NOT considered Scripture. Hell, not even all of it was written yet. ^_^ According to the Jews only the Torah is Scripture (1st 5 books of the Bible) and the rest is merely commentary.

2 Tim 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

2 Pet 1:20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation,
2 Pet 1:21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

The entire Holy Bible is the Word of God.

It doesn't matter about which translations (as long as it is taken from the original manuscripts.) The difference between the translations are the words used. Each translations speaks to each person in a different way with different words...that mean the same thing.

Peace be with you.

Paul?? Nick, you expect me to believe Paul?? The letters to Timothy are the reason I stopped believing the Bible to begin with!!

Okay, that aside, define scripture. At the time of Paul, the gnostic scripture were still considered scripture. Who makes the rules?
