So you got the Super-hero Jesus, and he "saves" people, and he has his girlfriend Mary Magdaline, who he "saves".

He has super-powers and comes back from the dead and then flies.

So Jesus has flying, like Superman or Neo in Matrix,
power to save, they all have that don't they, the superheros?

Satan is the bad guy,

Any other parallels?

It's more of a franchise than a single story, with different authors writing their own stories based around the central character.

Like Superman, its first writers were Jewish.

Its central character has a human family but is not human himself.

He has a crime-fightin' team of 12 friends.

He tends to just wander around doing good deeds and saving people. There is a background story, but most events are seemingly random until the big conclusion.

When the hero finially dies, he does so saving a whole load of people from the villian.

But the difference, Mayor Jim is that this superhero, Jesus, not only saved Mary Magdalene, but everyone else in that time period as well as before and after. All you have to do is believe in him and give him your heart. Not every superhero has that power, and better yet, that superhero gives his strength to anyone who truly wants it.

P.S. Is today Superhero day? Darn, I left my cape and mask at home!!

Actually, this is much better : Jesus had TWO girlfriends : Mary AND Martha Magdaline (they were sisters, I think). Most people don't know THAT.

See, anyone can say anything about Jesus, and who can disprove it?

Well, it does have a very well defined beginning and end. Actually come to think of it, comic books usually start in the middle of the story.

Fanatical circulation base.

It's entertaining like a comic book!

and moses is one of the cool sidekicks that don't usually seem to have much of a point in the story.
