If you were true in everything you told your friend's girlfriend and you still want to remain friends with him, you should talk to him about cheating. Ask him how it would feel if she cheated on him. Help him understand why it is so wrong to cheat. It practically was cheating because he no longer wanted his girlfriend and found someone else better. He wanted to dump her for someone else.
If he doesn't listen to you, you shouldn't listen to him. Don't be his friend any longer.

God may have told you to tell her. There is nothing you can do about him not likely you. I have been in the same situation only in reverse. Just get on with your life knowing you did the right thing. She deserves a better guy than him.

God didn't tell you anything! Your wacked out of your mind!
At one time God communicated directly with man but under the new law God no longer does so. The only communication we have from him his what is written, and we may address him through his son who died for us.
God didn't TELL YOU ANYTHING.

Ignore him. He made his own decision and he's now looking for a scapegoat. He'll come back with his tail between his legs when he's finished sewing his seed!
How did God tell you to do this?

Name any prophet or character in the Bible who did what the Lord asked without alienating himself from someone. Too many of our people are trying to do the work of God without offending satan.

It sounds to me like you put your foot in your mouth, and all to often we see our Friends doing things that we "THINK" is not right for them, and so we interfere with a lesson he may need to go through, and undoubtedly comes back to haunt us, my suggestion for you is to let your Friends experience their life path, and you stick to your own, and you will find that your friends will have more respect for you, may God bless.

Realize that God didn't really tell you to do that at all and stop blaming him for what you did wrong.
