I had to try several brands of diapers on my son. Some worked better than others. Obviously cut down on his fluids at bedtime. Also try the overnight diapers, they work a bit better than the regular.

I have a little boy who just turned 1 a few weeks ago. I'm still having that problem. However, he still uses a bottle to go to sleep at night and he still wakes up in the middle of the night, so when I get him in the morning he is soaked. I've tried all kinds of diapers and they all get soaked.
Last night, for the first time, I didn't give him a bottle before bed like I usually do. He woke up and he wasn't soaked.
I would try eliminating the drinks before bedtime.

All kids are different. Especially when it comes to boys and girls! I have 2 boys and I didnt even start to train them overnight til they were at least 3yrs old. The thing to remember is....it's not a race. They will do it when they want to! Boys generally do things slower than girls so I'm sure u didn't have this problem with your daughter but your son is a different matter especially if u live in the USA which means its winter there at the moment and its colder during the night and boys of all ages pee more in winter than other seasons. I'm not sure why...but they just do! (even my hubbie pees more in winter than I do). Dont panic!!!....it will all be ok soon enough :)

How much is he given to drink in the evenings? Maybe it's just too much liquid at bed time.
Is he potty trained during the day? Maybe he's holding it in because he knows he gets a diaper at bedtime. Maybe having him use the potty before getting into bed will help.

My 2 yr old boy has the same issue. We tried all the name brand diapers and none kept him dry. I am not going to tell you to cut down on fluids I think that has been covered. Luvs worked great for me and the Wal-Mart brand White Cloud is very absorbent too. Good Luck.

I'm not sure it's a problem. It means he's really well hydrated. I guess if they're so wet they're soaking the sheets taht would be a problem, but otherwise I expect my girl's diaper to be sodden in the mornings and worry if they're not.

Don't give him anything to drink an hour or so before bedtime. Also, you can get doublers (absorbent diaper inserts) the same place you get the diapers. My grocery store carries them. They double the absorbency of the diaper and are just as disposable.

My son does the same thing. I think its because he sleeps on his tummy all the time. They also have a magic wand that doesnt shoot directly into the diaper either. I just try to change him asap if he wakes up so he doesnt leak. You could try to avoid liquids a certain time before bed too.

I would try putting a heavy duty feminine pad inside his diaper at night to soak up the extra. I've not needed to do it myself but several friends have had success with this.

I also have a 2 year old son and he drinks like there is no tomorrow!(Trying to cut him back though). Luvs works for him. I used pampers cruisers with my daughter but with my little boy, luvs seems to hold best.
