Why is it when I put my 2 year old son to bed with a fresh diaper, he wakes up EVERY morning soaked and wet? I don't remember haveing this problem with me daughter. No matter what I do he is really wet in the morning. We use pampers diapers. They should hold through the night. You would think. They're expensive enough. Is there anyone out there with this same problem? And if so, is there any advise you can give me to keep my so dry through the night. Possibly without changing him every few hours. Any advise is appreciated. Thank you!

I had this issue for the longest time with my son. Don't give him a sippy cup before bed. If you put him down at 8 then give him just a little water in a little cup right before bed. I think that we really don't realize how much fluid they down when they are guzzling their sippy cups. We changed him to normal cups in the evening and since it is harder for them they don't drink as much and he started waking up a little wet but not too much so. Potty training is probably not the answer. If he is waking up that wet then he probably wouldn't wake up dry if you potty trained him, you would just be changing his sheets 3 times a night. Good luck!!

At 2 years old he should be close to being potty trained. Im not judging but diapers can only hold so much pee. Try using pull ups instead of diapers and try to get him potty trained!
