I love the Conversations with God book series and when it came out it felt so natural to me. Recently I heard someone questioning it, as if THEY didn't talk to God. Wondering how many of you don't realize that anyone can talk to God?

It dose not surprise me at all, because I talk with God everyday, I use the conversation with God series almost daily I find it vary up lifting, and I send it in my emails to my friends, and family, I have been talking with God way before the series ever came out, when one really believes in God then talking with him simply comes natural, it dose for me anyway may God bless.

When I think about Adam in the Garden hanging out with God...walking and talking, I used to think: Wouldn't that be awesome. Just hanging out with God and talking about things.

Then I realized...I can. Now, I do. I talk with Him most of the day. I try and give Him a chance to talk with me, too.

Prayer is a two way conversation.

Do you know your Shepard's' voice?

Peace be with you.

This is an every day event for those who stand and humble
them selves in front of their lord. This is exactly what Islam
teaches that you are one on one with your creator and you do
not need any intemedeteries or inteccessors in between.Allah
the almighty tells the proophet Muhammad in the Holy Quran
that when my slaves ask you about me , tell them i am nearer
to them than their Jagular Vein, and I respond to their prayers
and supplications. The closest a Muslim Gets to his lord is
in his Salah[ prayers] 5 times a day when he puts his forehead on the ground in total submission to the Creator. We
have been informed by our prophet[pbuh] about the times
wher our prayers are more likely to be answered.Do you know when is the best time to talk to your lord and God it is in
the last part of the Night when Allah the Almighty desends to
the nearest heaven that is to the earth every night and asks
who needs something from me , who wants to be forgiven his
sins, who is it that wants his prayers to be answerd,? and he
the Almighty Boasts to the Angels when he sees that while
the entire world is fast asleep pious Muslims leave their beds
and pray to almighty God for forgiveness and seek his bounty
every night and believe me this is the best conversation one
can have with his creator.
you have to be careful though of fake spiritualists who claim
to have direct conversations with God and recieve inspirations from him this is not acceptable in Islam as we
know that the line of prophets and messengers have stopped
and anyone claiming such needs to have his head examined.

People say they talk to themselves...but when they are hurt or upset what or who are they crying out to??
I think honestly everyone thinks about God and believes in him. Because if they don't...they sure do take a lot of time to complain about him. How do you complain about something that isn't real??
I think everyone talks to God...they just are too cool to admit it...

No, it does not surprise me, I met several whilst working on a psychiatric inpatient unit at our local hospital. Do you perhaps wonder why they were patients on a psychiatric ward? Do you wonder why those were the ONLY people I've met in my sixty years who talk directly to God?

Sure.... anyone can talk with god.... but I prefer to converse with people / things that can communicate back. Talking "with" god is like talking "with" a brick wall: ultimately unfulfilling.... and so utterly pointless as to be beneath consideration.... and at least the brick wall can be interacted with in other ways.

I guess if there can be horse whisperers there can be cod conversationalists, although I don't know why anyone would want to talk with a fish.
