Stay active and lift weights to add muscle to your frame. You'll also add pounds, but they'll be firm, not flab.
Eat a healthy diet. Supplement your usual diet with a couple extra eggs a week, put powdered milk in your milkshakes or sprinkle it in soups, cereals, other foods. Add a few extra servings of complex carbohydrates a week, have a piece of whole grain bread at dinnertime. Drink 2% milk rather than skim. Drink fruit juice rather than water. Add an extra slice of cheese to your sandwiches. Use regular salad dressing.
Putting on the weight will be fun, but you still want to avoid transfats and unhealthy foods that will raise your cholesterol and/or make you feel sluggish.

gain weight the healthy way... don't eat junk food and sit on your bottom, you may become overweight and unhelathy, this brings on all kinds of health problems
meat and potatoes is the way to go and stay active, gaining it back in muscle tone would make a man look very attractive!
extra helpings of grains won't hurt either!

unless you want to put on body fat and risk getting type 2 diabetes and risk heart disease then ignore all of the other posts. If you want to do it Lean for the most part, High calorie, high protein, high complex carb, low saturated fat, with heavy weight/low reps in the gym(skip this last part if you don't already work out because you'll hurt yourself)
