I had a baby awhile ago and still havent gotten my period yet. I went to the dr. yesterday and they gave me birthcontrol pills which she said I could take asap or just wait for it to start naturally which could take months. My question is (I thought about it after I left there) we want to get prego again well start trying soon. Should I get on them til I get my period then stop and start trying to get prego again? Or just wait til I get it naturally? Can anyone help with advice?

You can get pg without ever having had a period, although it's pretty rare. I wouldn't take the pills because then you'll have to wait for them to leave your system before you can get pg again. I would just skip the pills and let nature take its course.

I managed to get pregnant without a period after child number 1 was 3 months old. I was nursing and figured no problem. Good luck I would not start and stop b/c let nature take its course.

I feel that dr's proscribe birth control for everything. I did a lot of research on all types of birth control. There are a lot of side affects for all different types. I would not take birht control as a answer for your problem. I would tell the dr you don't want to take them then see what other alternitives they give you.

I think you should not start the birth control if you are trying to get pregnant soon. You might have to wait longer if you do.

If you want to have another baby, going on birth control isn't going to help you.
Just because you haven't restarted your period doesn't mean you're also not ovulating - just go ahead and try for another baby.
