We don't celebrate anything christian about the month of December, but we do embrace the commercialization of it all. I love to decorate, bake, listen to holiday music, and exchange gifts with my son. We don't do anything particularly special on December 25, instead we choose whichever day we want in December to celebrate on. Last year, it was December 11.

I avoid all the family gathering hoopla. I prefer to do it some other time of the year. I don't like the media or a religion to tell me when I'm supposed to appreciate my family. I can do that on my own.

First I try to get as many of my family to be here as I can. We have a tree trimming party to put tree up on one day.
We have a sweets party, where we talk about old times and our childhood one day.
We go Christmas shopping at all the thrift stores one day and then go out to eat.
Then the night before Christmas we have the kiddie party. We have hot chocolate and warm cookies and read 3 -- 4 Christmas stories.
Christmas day--we all help in the kitchen, when the mean is done we stuff ourselves. Then some sleep, some go outside and play and some watch movies.
A week after its over. I have a take the tree down party and that's it till Christmas of next year..
