IMHO religion is a legalist approach to a relationship with Jesus. It states things like--
IF you belong to this church,
IF you wear this,
IF you don't allow this,
And some such drivel.
Religion binds people. It is very much like the Pharisee-ical attitude prevalent in the Time of Jesus.
A true relationship with Jesus is full of freedom. You choose to do what HE would have you do and no amount of rules or regulations can cause someone to become internally like HIM. they may have the veneer of being Christ-like but inside they aren't.
Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion in this matter.

well its because in all religions there
is a little piece of information that contridicts what each religion is saying and everyone in their own religion beleives that the other is lying and that their theory is the correct one but you know that was over 20000 sumthing years ago and there is no way of proving which is correct so thats why everone that is religious is sore about the topic is because they actually dont know ............

Because they are religious.
They have a religion.
They do not have a true belief.
I have seen this.
I spoke to afew people at various times about Jesus.
They immediately went to their religion. I wasn't talking about their religion, I was talking about Jesus.
I was talking about what the bible says about salvation, they were talking about their religion.
HELLO!
Is anyone listening--no.
Preconceived notions imposed by their religions. SYSTEMS!

Because of what unbelievers see. Unbelievers see an institution of rules and regulations -- that's "religion." We don't like being called "religious" because that labels us as blind followers of an institutionalized "enclosed in the box" religion.
True followers of Christ are FREE from all those rules and regulations that religions impose on us. True followers of Christ acknowledge that our salvation is a GIFT from God, and no matter how many rules we follow on our own, if we don't accept that GIFT, we are lost.

I am religious and i agree. Sometime we need to back up and relax. Open your eye and ear and shut your mouth to what others are saying.
Hey man is man...a lot of stuff people tend to do because they were taught it and never question it.
Not me!!! i believe in a lot of things, I worship MY way...I dont care how any one else do or dont do it. ITS YOUR LIFE!

To me it is not a sore topic, but it is hard considering that you don't have (according to these people) any scientific evidence to back up your claims, and that is all people on here are looking for, which I find quite sad.

Ah believe that the Barble tells us all we need to know and believe. Don't push me of I will recite every text in the barble that ah can well recite. We will all get drunk listening to my recitals. Now you wouldn't want that to happen would you?

It's not, it only offends those that are not religious. Deep down they are afraid, because what if your wrong HELL is it worth it.
