OK, we screwed up IRAQ, fine. Now the goal is to do whats best for THEM. Their are three conceivable options.
1) Pull out, withdraw. Militants and radicals kill everyone. The US created government and anyone who ever worked with it or the Americans, is killed. Saudi Arabia, Iran and Syria fight for control by funding whoever create the biggest mess, this goes on for 20 years, or until we decide to intervene again, as there is a new "hotbed for terrorist activity"
2) Send in 100,000 troops, forget the Iraqi government, create a police state, call it an occupation. Every night everyone is at home, 7pm, or they are shot etc. This would restore order and stop the massacre, but for how long, and what ultimate goal?
or 3) Federated states. Give each people a chunk of land, and allow them to rule it as they see fit...with a very loose central gov, that will divide oil monies. (Billions) This creates the risk of one more powerful killing the other, also everyone will want Baghdad.

I personally favor number three but that would be even further refutation of Bush's policies in Iraq so I doubt it gets his support. Notice I said his support since I think that is the best solution to this fiasco.

Number two won't happen. No way we can send an additional 100k troops. Not only do we not have them to send but it may prod Iran into a preemptive invasion of Iraq. After all the Hawkish talk from the neocons in power, this is not a wacko possibility...Iran just might go.

Number 1 is the end result even if number three officially happens. We have a proxy war between Sunni (Egypt, Syria, Jordan) and the Shiites (Iran and Hezbollah inside Syria). Its a mess...but at least they are killing each other and not US soldiers stuck in the middle.

We only have peace if Bush sits down with Syria and Iran and hashes out a deal...basically it means all that money and all those deaths to give Iran and Syria chunks of Iraq.

None of the above. Close the Borders and keep the other countries from sending in arms and suicidal militants. Support your President and our great military forces. If Iraq is given time to get their &$%# together, then and only then we can pull out and let them police themselves. But first and foremost is not to Pull a DWM....(Cut and Run). If we do, that will only empower the terrorists. It will then only be a matter of time before American streets start looking like Bagdad streets. Bombs blowing up in cars all over the place everyday. Are any of you wanting that to happen? I didn't think so. CARRY ON Mr Bush! Go US MILITARY!

It's a pretty sad situation, isn't it? I think we ought to go for #2. Just lay down the law, and shoot people who violate it.

I think that in the real world, we're going to end up pulling out like we did in Vietnam, and then we're going to be viewed as a lame nation that can't defend itself or fight a war effectively, at which point we will be subject to TONS of terrorist attacks.

Personally, however, I prefer the solution that says "Get the troops out. Bomb the hell out of Iraq. Give the survivors money to clean up the mess."

Non of the above.

It is impossible as the mission was not accomplished,NOW The US is not allowed to leave Iraq till they get permission from the country that provoked us in this bloody war, this war was an order from the state of Israel, believe or not,so the war will not end,it will continue till the last killed, then comes Israel turn which would take a very short time,Jews will be smoked, where they can't face 500Million of red eyes.

i do not imagine so. As to point one, i do not imagine the yankee human beings may were too supportive of a conflict if we were informed that it replaced into being finished for the point of regime replace particularly than some thing touching on to American protection. for sure, there may were those who may have lengthy gone alongside with this risky coverage, yet i imagine that that they had be the minority. As to point 2, i do not imagine the yankee human beings may know ways this can help, and some may were suspicious that the point of the conflict may be to envision an American presence for motives except those being informed us. As to the 0.33, given the first aspect, I very a lot doubt the human beings may help a huge lack of yankee lives for a conflict that wasn't retaining us.

All of your plans sound a little radical. I think we should let the current plan run its course until around September so we can accurately judge its progress.
