I'm 35 and I don't consider my phone to "speak for who I am" as much as people who are younger. As a teen, I was a punk so, the idea of anything that would be so mainstream as to be made into a ringtone sort of turns my stomach.

I'll admit to being shallow enough that I dig my car as an extension of my personality but not my phone; it's a tool.

i read the article. how weird that he says : ""All that matters in music today is that your song becomes a ringtone."

huh? i dont know anyone who has a ringtone... am i that old already?
