Actually, I don't sneak...I go BOLDLY! If it wasn't allowed I assume YH wouldn't let me. Besides, lots of people who ask questions never go back and choose the best answer. That's just wrong! lol

Most of the time. If I didn't believe my answer was excellent I wouldn't post it. Occasionally someone will answer better than I think I do, and I will vote for them. Oh, and I don't sneak in, I am not ashamed of it.
It is possible I am overestimating the worth of my answers, but the other side of that is I will not pretend a false humility I do not feel.
I don't do it for the points either. I started off that way but ended up taking the more fulfilling road of being informative. At least I hope I am.

I would prefer people to choose a best answer, but so many dont.
So I absolutely do vote for my own answers; all the time.
Do you realise how many questions would be unresolved if we didn't vote on our own questions? It would be nightmarish.
But it is weird how we cannot even give our own answer a thumbs up, but can vote for our own as best.

nope... i guess i figure, either they are good answers, they are just 'ok' or maybe the person who asked the question didnt really want a genuine answer to start with??? Or, possibly, i could just suck at answering.... whichever way.... i let others decide... i'm not pompous enuf to stuff the ballot box LOL

I never vote for best answers, unless I notice in my profile that a question I've answered is in voting. I've voted for my own a few times.

Sure, politicians vote for themselves you know. If you think your answer is the best, then do it. If someone answered the same question better than you, then vote for that answer.

I will vote if I notice in my profile a question is "In Voting"--especially if it's an older question that is locked in a tie.

Yahoo Answers can see when all of a person's best answers are by vote and not chosen by askers.
