The thought process that causes people to ask questions like this is very interesting to me. Just what do you think you will accomplish? Is this your idea of being "funny?" Do you get a kick out of being hurtful? Were you traumatized by someone who was religious as a child and this is your way of striking back without fear of repercussions?

If there is a brain disorder to be discussed, the growing disorder that compels people to be so intolerant to those they don't agree with is more destructive to our society than the "religious/spiritual."

I don't think you can really call it a disorder, when the majority of humans on this planet have religious/spiritual beliefs.

I'm an atheist myself, but I understand where religious people are coming from-- having faith gives a person hope that things will get better. Praying is like therapy for the faithful-- allowing them to focus on and identify problems, and leaving their troubles in the hands of God.

Must be very comforting to believe that a big man in the sky cares about you and your problems. Unfortunately, I'm not able to fool myself into believing such fairy tales. Perhaps it is normal to have religious beliefs, and it is the non-believers who are disordered.

No, I don't think so. Why does what other people believe bother you so much? I don't really consider that anything to be concerned about - it's none of my business.

NO. It's a nature of human kind to think of a power who create them. Besides, what should you care if other believe in God while you aren't??
