Yes, many do, but it isn't good for them. Their livers cannot process it as well as humans'. Don't do it.

Dogs might drink beer and even develope a taste for it, but it is not healthy for them. When a human drinks too much it destroys brain cells. If you figure the difference in the size of a human and a dog, the possibility of doing your animals harm, like brain damage or liver problems is increased dramatically.

Dogs like to try to do whatever it is that they see their 'alpha' doing. If their 'alpha' isn't a dog, but is actually a human, like you, and if you like to drink beer, then, your dog will do what it can to follow your lead, which includes drinking whatever it is that it sees you drinking. And if you give it enough beer to drink, it will wind up liking beer with all of its meals, just like any animal that is capable of acquiring new tastes.
Unlike what our fellow contributor said aobut it, a typical dog's liver is every bit as anti-ethanolic as the typical human's liver is, but, the real thing to be aware of is that it is highly unlikely that your dog will have the same body weight, so it will take a lot less alcohol for your dog to get every bit as drunk as any human can get.
The worst thing, however, is that if it sees you drinking beer after beer after beer, and it tries to keep up with you.. it could poison itself by drinking so much that the alcohol kills it.
So, even though your dog might like beer, I would strongly recommend never sharing your beer with it, just to be safe.
Your dog might whine for a while as it sees you doing something that you won't let it do, but in time it will learn that it won't get to do everything that you get to do.

Dude... Don't give your dog beer, lol. Also you obviously like beer very much judging by the fact you put a dog question in the cat section.

My brothers dog will drink any fizzy drink so I wouldn't be surprised if she drank beer too. But why would you want a dog to drink alcohol? It can't be good for them.

Were you drunk when you wrote this? This is the cat section. And don't give your dog beer...of course they like it.

Some might like it but that is not the point.
The point is alcohol is incredibly dangerous for dogs!
