I am an 18 year old male that is usually in very good health. I exercise regularly and am in good shape. But in the past few months i have noticed i've been having very random and drastic mood swings and have been eating alot more. Thyroid trouble runs in my family. Could this be the case for me or is this just typical teenager stuff? And any suggestions on how to counter act each for whatever it may be?

Or could this be diabetes?

It doesn't realy sound like thyroid problems, but you could go to the doctor and get a morning thyroid test to rule it out. Eating more isn't a thyroid symptom. In fact, eating less is, but gaining weight.

Try drinking water when you feel hungry. It will feel you up and you'll eat less.

A diabetes test is a simple blood test of glucose and insulin. You can ask for this when you get the thyroid testing
