Even if hes given some signals, still afraid, why?

Because, sometime girls give us signals that are NOT TRUE!!! You girls confuse us sometimes and we dont wanna look like dumb a$$es. And also, some of us are wusses.

There could be many reasons: (1) everybody resents rejection and some men have fragile egos, (2) you may have been sending him mixed signals, (3) either he or you may be dating other people right now, and still have a crush on each other.
If you're single, the answer is most likely (1) above. Give him a little encouragement, do something unexpected like dropping him an email out of the blue just to say hi (send it just to him and not to a distribution list) or call him and say you're in the neighborhood and want to see if he's free for drinks. Since it's usually women who get chased around all the time, it's a welcome change for women to initiate at least a few meetings in the beginning ...

sometimes I don't even understand the signals! I mean, I have been told by alot of my friends that a girl might be flirting with me but I just don't see it. I am very shy and I do not talk to girls much. It is just because I have no idea what to say. I am just not a conversationalist (if thats even a word). Some men just don't have socialising built in to their genetic make-up. Personally, I find it difficult to speak to someone face to face. I hate the awkward silences. I find it easier to IM someone or send them a SMS from my mobile because then I have a bit of time to think of something to say. I think my brain just isn't built to think spontaneously.
From my point of view, why do women even bother sending signals? If they want to approach someone, why don't they just do so? Stop beating around the bush and forget about the signals and flirting and what not. Come on, out with it already... we're waiting!

i have no clue. but i am the same way. i am to shy to talk to the guys though. its hard being shy. i sometimes hate it so much.
