Lived in our corner home since 1979!!! Is suburban middle class areain NJ. No downsides for us; have fenced in lot, larger lot, same taxes as neighbors, more space between neighboring houses, and best of all 2 sides where have no homes next to us, just the street. Would not trade for one between houses on all sides, ever !!! GO FOR TI!!!

Corner houses get twice the traffic noise of the other houses on the block. However corner houses traditionally have a larger yard, so if you have some privacy hedges or a fence, and your a deep sleeper, they can be a good bargain because other buyers will be less likely to purchase a corner home.

My girlfriend bought a corner house, when the streets got re-done she had to pay twice once for each side of the street. But she does have a nice/larger yard then most in her neighborhood.

The only downfall is that i have a HUGE front/ side / back yards to mow, and i have 3x's the sidewalk to clear of snow.
I live in a quiet neighborhood, so it does not get that loud.
In short, i would defintely buy a corner house again

I have a corner house. the worst part is shoveling the walk in the winter. oh yeah i hate when people take a short cut at the corner and decide to walk on my lawn (dogs mostly)
