I've got a crush on a girl who already has a boyfriend. But she asked me for drinks a few weeks ago and was extremely flirtatious throughout. At the same time, she was sending me mixed signals throughout. The problem is I do have a crush on this girl and can't seem to get her out of my mind. I'm doing other things and going on other dates and stuff, but a part of me can't help but wonder what other people do in situations like this. I mean, girls leave their BFs for other guys, it's been known to happen. So, my question is: has anyone here had a crush on a girl who had a BF and still got her? And been happy with her later? Girls -- did you ever start liking another guy when you had a BF and ended up with the other guy? If so, what did the guy do to win you over?
I definitely don't want a girl who can be a cheater, regardless of how big a crush I have on her ... so just trying to get some thoughts from everyone here. Thanks for your help! BTW, I'm 30 yrs old, not in high school...

My wife (sort of) and other women (definitely) left boyfriends to have serious relationships with me. The "good ones" are usually taken.
I've also had the occasional "Why didn't you decide you couldn't do this BEFORE you took your clothes off?" kind of experience, but on the whole it was worth it many times over to disregard the other lovers as best I could.
Just show your interest, steadily and unembarrassedly, without being pushy.

My best friend, when he was 28, fell in love with a girl who had already had a bf.
He went after her regardless, and she actually left her bf for him.
My best friend's logic was that everyone has a right to pursue their own happiness. That was how he justified his action.
He is 30 now and they are both having a very good loving relationship with one another.
Personally, I do not endorse my best friend's actions. But I hope his experience somehow sheds some light on your dillema.

If the girl is being flirtatious with other guys that usually isn't a good sign at the start, so unless you know her feelings for you are really strong and that she is looking for a long-term relationship I don't know if I would consider dating her just yet.
