hello

i cannot afford solicitors fees but was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.

i am a tenant of thames valley housing (we are a family of 6) the housing association had been trying to evict our anti social and violent neighbours for some time , we were asked to write a nuisance diary also to film their daily activities . when the eviction hearing finally got to court thames valley asked if they could use our evidence as a family we were given no more than 48 hrs to decide after talking we decided to let thames valley use the evidence. this is when our problems started. we were moved out of our lovely home on feb 1 07 into a safe house which is not very nice i am disabled my 2 daughters have now missed 6 weeks from school!! (as it is not safe to go back to the area) my 2 sons are unable to get employment as we do not know when we will be moving to a permenant property. we are all very depressed.

anyway to cut a long story short our evidence secured the neighbours eviction thames valley have made us all these promises and all we have had from them so far is a pot plant to say thankyou.

could you please advice what our rights are etc.

thankyou very much

first of all go to c a b. also look in the back of the phone book for any bodies that are out there to help you on the ground of being disabled.
look in the liabry to find out where and when you local mp is having an open surgery. get your mp on side.
go to the local press, tell them you have a story for them you need to keep your present address secret.
write to tony blair.
go to the education dept. can they help on the grounds of your daughters missing school?
good luck. ps. it makes me so angry reading your story. what the hell is the matter with this country? i know you dont know me from adam. but i am on your side

You should be entitled to legal aid find a local solicitor or go to citizens advice to find out which solitors represent people with legal aid.The first interview will be free then the solicitor will file papers for you to get legal aid so you are in no obligation to part with any money. Its the same old story the victim gets punnished while the wrong doers get handshakes good luck xx

Be there for her and try and get her to talk to her parents... By her talking to them gives her more options on wether or not she wants to keep it or even adoption she has more options now than she will later. Her parents will find out eventually just make sure it's not to late. And be a good friend and try and help/guide her to make the choices she wants and not what anyone "wants" her to do because she am has to deal with it later on in life no matter what she decides... And like the girl before said her parents will grow to the idea and yes there's a chance they'll loose it but the won't hurt her or the baby. So encourage her to make her decisions that will benefit her in the end.

why did they move you out? it's the asbo's they should have moved not you...please seek some legal advice, you may get compensation for this as you are not the offender...you may be entitled to legal aid if you are disabled...this is not right..a gang of thugs living close by and you have to leave and go to a safe house...that's not right at all...i think that's terrible....somethings not right here...call CAB and ask them what your rights are...surely they must see that it's not you with the asbo....jeez i just hate it when things like this happen to the innocent ones...grrrr...find out what your rights are...you deserve some explanation...or even compensation for being uprooted from your own home...this is not right at all

Get in touch with Citizens Advice, you have been treated very badly and have become the victims.
