should I stick with the stuff I currently have and put new tile and upgrade on windows OR should I upgrade my stuff since it is old and fix up the house later? Stuff meaning appliances, furniture, etc.

Do any repairs/remodeling before buying new stuff. You may find that something you bought new now, will not go with whatever you decide to change later. It is also easier to work in the house without a bunch of stuff in the way.

Worry about the big stuff first. Meaning the appliances and window upgrades. You can always replace your furniture later. You can find great deals at yard sales too on furniture. No joke. I'm 21 and I'm about to get married. Me and my fiance bought a 6 person table at a yard sale for 50 bucks. It's huge! It was worth it.

First things first, do not spend any money before you close on the house. Some mortgage companies will re-check your credit and your bank accounts to make sure that your credit hasn't been used or that you've gone on a spending spree. Once you close, invest the money on your house not on filling your house. Appliances are great, but new windows will cut down on your energy bills and make the home more appealing. You can always add a few things to the interior later.
