As far as facially, studies say people are attracted to the opposite sex that look like them, why?

I don't know, I am Mexican and attracted to guys with blond hair and blue eyes, but could it be a subconscious way to continue the race or family line or maybe just to have kids that look like them?

Never heard this before. Heard that people grow to look like each other after a long relationship. But people generally are friends with people with whom they can relate.

I think its a subconiouse thing. Like when you see two people together and you go wow they look great together. If you look at them they do look a like. My whole family says this about me and my boyfriend. I dont see it but they say we look alike because we look so good together. I guess its another way of saying your spouce compliments you very well. Its definetly not a bad thing..... unless you are related then go to ALABAMA!

old people tend to blend together. After 50 years of marriage-people just look old. I have never dated a man that looked like myself. nor do I have friends who married their twin.

I never heard that, infact, it is normal to want someone who does not look like you.....it's about not promoting mutations or problems with someone too much the same......
