I tried to use Windows Movie Maker several time, but sorry i never had the chance to successfully do anything good.

1. Open your movie maker program
2. Select Import Video or use Capture from Video Device.
The program automatically splits the movie into pieces, depending how big the movie file is.
3. Click and drag each part of your movie, or even the whole thing into the storyboard area at the bottom of the window. This copies the file so now you can edit your work in the storyboard area.
4. To edit the movie, you move the cursor to the storyboard area, over the file you want to now edit, and the cursor will change to double arrows and red. Now you click/drag to shorten/splice the file.
To delete, just click and press your delete button on the keyboard.
You can cut/copy, paste via the EDIT
Remember to save your work as a movie file. Until you do that, its a movie maker file. To do this; go to File, Save Movie File. A wizard will take you step by step on how to do that.
