Never store coffee in the fridge: it will lose flavour.
Buy it freshly ground, if you can, or vacuum packed. Buy it in small quantities, and use it up fast.
Store in air tight container, inside a clean and dry plastic bag, tightly twisted.
Exposure to air, heat and light will lessen the flavour of your coffee.

Ground coffee should be kept in a container in the refrigerator and whole beans should be kept in the freezer.

yes, or better yet...the freezer.....
ground coffee spoils quickly because of the oils.......it's not bad for you....but doesn't taste so great after it's been out a few days
