Would a baby shampoo be better or one that is for puppies without flea and tick stuff in it.

I usually waited until they were almost 3 weeks old. Mother dog takes care of them until then she is licking them and that's all they need.
Once you can give them their first bath get some mild puppy shampoo and don't get any shampoo in their eyes. Rinse them of very well and dry each pup off very well with towels.

You've got quite a gang there to give baths too. Do it in shifts and when you have some help.
Go and purchase plain puppy shampoo and dilute it by 1/2.

I work at a dog kennel and the owners breed dogs. We just gave 3 of the puppies baths yesterday :) They're 4 weeks old. If you really wanted to, you could give them baths whenever you wanted. Normally, it isn't necessary because the mother will clean them. We just used normal dog shampoo on them. I would definitely advise against human shampoo, it's too harsh for dogs, especially puppies. Good luck!

Well, right now leave the cleaning to the mom. If you start taking over her role, she may not want to continue caring for them. After 8 weeks you can bathe them but no more than once per month, and only if needed. Do not use baby shampoo. There are formulas just for puppies and most don't contain flea and tick removers. also make sure you put cotton balls in their ears to prevent ear infections.

I think we waited until about 4-5 weeks before we gave our litter their first bath. Mom took care of them until then. We used a mild puppy shampoo and used the kitchen sink since it was easier to reach. I would bathe one and my son would be standing next to me with a towel for me to hand them off to and dry. Dry them very well so they don't get a chill. Our mom would help dry them. Have fun.

Please don't use any shampoo on your puppies!

They shouldn't be THAT dirty at 19 days old. If you're just worried about puppy poopie smell, then why not let them have some supervised water play in a dishpan and they'll have fun exploring a new experience as well as rinse themselves clean.

Just make sure they are in a warm area and dry them thoroughly when the water fun is over.

You should wait until they are 6 to 8 weeks old because some shampoo that you use on them contain pesticides that can harm the puppy but to be on the safe side why don't you call you veterinarian.

Their mother will stop giving them baths when they start eating on their own which causes a change in the scent. (about 4 weeks) that is when you take over for her.
At that age it is best to only use warm water, soap residue will cause them digestive problems.
