There are now more than 60 versions of the Bible(Different versions not translations The different versions of the Bible are not merely different translations, but are actually versions i.e. they add and remove things from other versions)

These revisions serve as concrete proofs that all the Biblical books are not at all divinely inspired. This is because it is beyond man's ability to correct the work of his Creator, who alone is Almighty and perfect

The Bible is a collection of writings by many different authors. The Qur'an is a dictation. The speaker in the Qur'an - in the first person - is God talking directly to man. In the Bible you have many men writing about God and you have in some places the word of God speaking to men and still in other places you have some men simply writing about history.

There is not even one word of difference between two Arabic Qur'ans, anywhere in the world. There has been no disagreements in history among Muslims as to what should and should not be in the Qur'an. However, in the case of the Bible, even the most ancient manuscripts conflict with one another so that no two are identical. Footnotes in all modern versions of the Bible prove this fact.

In Christian jargon a Bible translation is also known as a version. So there are many versions/translations but only ONE Bible.

Arf, there are at least 30 translations and versions in English alone. Go to http://www.Biblegateway.org and go to passage lookup, then look for the drop down menu on Bible translations. That is only listing the "accepted" versions which have passed certain scrutiny as to validity of interpretation.

There are different translations but one version. They are all the same Holy Bible, The difference in the translations are very subtle. like a comma or a different way of a expressing the same thing. They are not entirely different versions.

Hundreds of them, and some of them (Like the "New International Version") have been altered. I wonder if it was REALLY God's word, would He let it have many, many versions?

Dear Friend,

There are many versions, I believe that God guides us to the translation that will be best understood by us as individuals.

God Bless

But all with the same clear message of salvation through Christ alone.......

All except the NWT.....heretical version (JW's version)

Edit:
I speak the truth in love......and the truth hurts sometimes.

The variety is seemingly limitless. It can become confusing when one goes Bible shopping.
