Hi im travelling to New York in April with two friends of which one is a fireman & the the other a police woman here in Ireland. They would really love to getting chatting to men & woman who are in this profession in New York.. Does anyone know of any bars in New York that NYPD or FDNY drink in?

Any Irish bar in the Irish neighborhoods is probably a good place to start to tell you the truth.

NYPD and FDNY both have fraternal groups that would be happy to talk to you. As far as the fire department, you could just walk into a fire house, there are plenty in Manhattan, and introduce yourself. As far as NYPD, you could go into any police station in Manhattan and do likewise. Most in NYPD and FDNY live in the suburbs or the boroughs. Woodside is a big NYC Irish community with plenty of Irish bars, you could start there.

The Copper Door on 3rd ave...Firefighter owned and right around the corner from the 13 pct. On 3rd between 20th and 23rd...i just dont remember which.
